CASE STUDY
Carnada is a natural wine crafted for those who embrace life through the senses. Its identity embodies a punk, countercultural spirit: a statement against immediacy and the industrialization of gastronomy. The design challenge was to translate this vision into packaging that could work as bait for the contemporary hedonist. We asked ourselves: what would serve as true bait for someone in search of pleasure and authenticity? The answer led us to explore two seemingly distant yet equally rebellious worlds: Op Art and fanzines. From this exploration, we developed four original illustrations, each representing a different wine variant. The proposal plays with the juxtaposition of styles and with visual narrative: first, the bait, the hypnotic pull of Op Art drawing the gaze; then, upon closer inspection, the viewer realizes they’ve fallen into a trap, uncovering an irreverent and attitude-filled story within the illustration. The result is a branding and packaging system that is intriguing, seductive, and rebellious, fully aligned with the philosophy behind the wine and the vibrant gastronomic community that brings it to life.
